Greater Amarillo Foster Parent Association

The Greater Amarillo Foster Parent Association (GAFPA) was formed in 1983 to serve the foster parents of Amarillo and the surrounding areas. GAFPA offers state required training and childcare to foster parents at no cost*.  As a GAFPA member, you will have the ability to fellowship with other area foster parents and enjoy special events organized by our board members, which includes unlimited free admission to the Don Harrington Discovery Center and a discount rate to Jump n’ Jive. Members also enjoy events such as a fun night at Wonderland Park and other activities. You are sure to fit right in with our welcoming members. GAFPA is funded through memberships, corporate and individual contributions, agency contracts, fundraisers, grants and money earned through projects.
